Thailand to boost its fruits exports

 Thailand is a very niche market for fresh fruits exports. Thailand is the home to a variety of fresh fruits. Thailand is the 7th largest fresh fruit exporter as per our import export data reports globally.

According to the Thailand import export data reports, around 4 million tons of fresh fruits exports were recorded in the financial year 2023. Some of the top fresh fruits exports from Thailand include durian fruit, young coconut, longan, pomelo, pineapple, mango and tangerine were the top exports from Thailand.

In 2022, Thailand's pomelo fruit exports were around 29 million dollars. The top importers of Thailand’s pomelo fruits were China, Malaysia and European countries. Pineapple


For the fiscal year 2022, Thailand produced over 20 million metric tons of fresh pineapples. According to Thailand trade data, pineapple exports were around 12 million dollars in 2022. The major pineapple importers from Thailand were Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.


Mango


Thailand produces different varieties of mangoes. In 2022, Thailand's mango exports were estimated to be around 8 million dollars. The top markets for Thai Mango exports were the United States, India and Mexico.


Tangerine


Tangerine is a kind of small sweet orange. In the financial year 2022, Thailand's total tangerine exports were recorded to be 4.7 million dollars. In 2022, China imported a significant amount of Tangerine’s from Thailand. Laos and the Philippines were other major importers of Thai's Tangerine.


Mangosteen


Thailand is the leading exporter of Mangosteen globally. For the financial year 2022, Around 2.7 million dollars mangosteen exports were recorded. Lychee

Thailand’s lychee exports soared in 2022. The total fresh lychee exports from Thailand were around 2.5 million dollars. The top exporters for Thailand’s fresh lychee were China, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Japan  


Rambutan


Rambutan is a special variant of Lychee found in tropical regions like Thailand. Thailand is the major producer of Rambutan with over 55% of total exports globally. In the financial year 2022, Rambutan exports were around one million dollars. The top markets for rambutan exports were Vietnam, Malaysia and Myanmar.
